Saxophonist, clarinetist and composer Silke Eberhard has significantly shaped the Berlin jazz scene for many years and enjoys high international renown far beyond the borders of Europe.
Her multi-faceted work ranges from intimate, improvised encounters in theater, dance, and visual arts to compositions for small and large ensembles in the realm of contemporary jazz.
For her outstanding artistic achievements, she was awarded the prestigious Berlin Jazz Prize in 2020; additionally, her large ensemble Potsa Lotsa XL won the German Jazz Prize 2023 as “Large Ensemble of the Year”.
Her international relevance is also reflected in her continuous presence in the renowned Downbeat Critics Poll as well as in around 50 album releases.

Founded in 2006 together with bassist Jan Roder and drummer Kay Lübke, the shared history of these three exceptional musicians actually dates back to the mid-1990s. This deep, blind trust is palpable in every single note.
Moving within the proud tradition of classic saxophone trios, the band captivates through improvisational intensity, playfulness, and immense stylistic freedom.
The trio processes Eberhard’s complex, agile original compositions with playful virtuosity, weaving them into an unmistakable, dense web of musical relationships. This unique quality earned the trio, among other accolades, the German Record Critics’ Award.
