„Bart has a gift for a nostalgic melody … Her clear tone is beautiful and haunting … Many of the tracks sound like soundtracks to imagined films.”
– London Jazz News

Known for her distinct musical voice and deeply lyrical approach to improvisation, Ariel Bart creates a sonic world entirely her own. The Berlin-based composer and master of the chromatic harmonica elegantly blends modern jazz, classical elements, and Middle Eastern influences in her music.

She completed her studies at the renowned New School University in New York. Since then, Bart has collaborated with pioneering artists like William Parker or Yemen Blues, and has shone as a soloist alongside the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Orchestra East & West.

Her current album After Silence was released in 2025, emphatically highlighting her international presence, which has already taken her to prestigious stages such as the Jazzahead! festival, the Freespace JazzFest, and on tours as far as Australia.

– An intimate cosmos and a subtly balanced framework in which the characteristic line of the harmonica interacts with the grounding foundation of the double bass and the harmonic depth of the piano. –

Ariel Bart, Arseny Rykov, and Fabian Timm met during their studies in Berlin and formed a trio that captivates through its unusual instrumentation. Together, they explore a chamber-music sonic universe driven by cinematic textures and emotional density.

At the center of it all is Bart’s chromatic harmonica – an instrument with which she boldly charts new musical territory, effortlessly maintaining the balance between fragile warmth and expressive intensity.

The trio creates a dense, almost tangible atmosphere – an invitation to the listener into a world full of nostalgia, openness, and cinematic suspense.
